Did you know that Alabama is the third most charitable state in the nation? Mercedes was the closing keynote for the Alabama Association of Nonprofits conference, an organization whose membership is made of all the major nonprofits that operate throughout the entire state of Alabama such as The Humane Society, The United Way, The American Red Cross, Big Brothers & Big Sisters, and various educational, family and faith based enrichment organizations. Her message was directed towards the countless hours and life changing work these individuals have dedicated their careers and lives to do. Their power to give others a second chance at life was in line with Mercedes’s powerful message.
